DEADWOOD ON THE HUDSON

Two more shootings in the Collar City. As for the Corliss Park victim:

"Police initially identified the victim as Jerome Johnson, 22, of Troy, but have since said they are skeptical of his identity.

Johnson has a trial scheduled for next week in Rensselaer County Court for a charge of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon stemming from a 2013 incident. In August, a trial for that charge began but ended in mistrial after jurors saw a man attack Johnson with a chair at a Dunkin Donuts during a lunch break."

Then we have the River Street victim:

Detectives are also looking into an earlier shooting on River Street to see if the two shootings may be connected. Around 4:40 p.m. on River Street near Bond Street, police responded to what residents described as a “gun fight.”
Police located one male victim, who they’ve identified as Quaron Gordon, 19, of Troy.

The Mayor has announced that the City has now exceeded its shooting budget for the year. Any further shootings will need to come from the contingency fund. The Mayor went on to say: "Next year's budget will need to address the need to include more shootings."

Council President Wiltshire agreed: "If I'm not in Florida when the budget vote comes up, I will look into this issue."

Republican candidate Jim Gordon thinks we need to work closer with the police. "I will discuss the rise in gun violence with the police, the next time 911 sends them to my house."

District Attorney Joel Abelove announced that once it is determined that the suspects are not Republican legislators or Republican operatives, they will be prosecuted.

Democratic mayoral hopeful Patrick Madden could not be roused for comment.

Now that's funny.

Jim Gordon, haha. How long till the 911 call is foiled and made public?

Anonymous said...

I am sure one of the candidates will have a proposal to make sure future shootings are far more cost-effective. I have sent my preferred candidate my insightful suggestion for portable memorials and appointing Councilwoman Robertson as the city's coordinator of a car-sharing program so everyone can access the memorials.

Damn. Good to have you back.

Ditto. Good stuff

What's Jim Tutunjian's plan to reduce crime in the city. Maybe Harry Gordon can help him do it.

I was the poster who stated " now that's funny" and it was. Good writing. Unfortunately the posters are the same low achieving boobs who will keep this second rate. Sad but true. By the way check out Rodney's top campaigner Bob Cox's audio on McCasions. It is Troy and it is the perfect definition of CRAZY!

Lou try's to screw the chief that turns into a 14 month cluster fluck meanwhile crime goes on the rise. Lou turns his back on Lansingburgh looking to ride Harry's coattail from all the good work that he and Vic did in downtown laying the groundwork out for this renaissance. Kevin McGrath and naughty Nina sell Lou a bullshit bag of tricks about the Troy PBA setting the city back years. This is the crime problem folks in a nutshell. Mayor Gordon and the return of a police force with the city backing. That's how crime will be handled and the good news is your only 3 months from seeing it implemented. Harry gone 4 years now.

Kevin McGrath. The one thing you can say about Kevin is that with every election his island gets smaller and smaller. Tom Wade was dead(wood) on about this guy. Asking him the brother of one of the top true Democrates in not only this county but also surrounding county's to get his ass out of the party was a strong position to take but has been embraced by the entire Democratic Party in Troy and has made the chairman stronger than ever. When asked to support a man who has lived and breathed the democratic way of life the people spoke and have stayed committed to Tom Wade. Also all the problems in the Burgh started under Kevin's watch.

When you say "Gordon and the return of the police force" do you mean next time his wife calls them and they return to his house ??

Anonymous said...

Unlike the low achieving boobs who got all their hateful anonymous comments printed in Franco's jailspin column, which I'm positive you were one?

Run Jim Run said...

I'm hardly a fan of Kevin McGrath but why is he a topic of conversation. Is he running for office? If he does run, he is subject to criticism. What is he doing now? Is he actively involved in a campaign?

Anonymous said...

Kevin McGrath is an active Rodney supporter. And the cops hate Gordon, btw.

Phana24JG said...

Interesting, if true. I know the cops are not fans of Rodney, and I don't see them too enthused about Madden. Is their position none of the above?

Anonymous said...

No kidding. Scary.

Anonymous said...

If Kevin was in Rodney corner, he would have won Burgh

Kevin McGrath will feel like john Sweeney when Gordon becomes Mayor. Walking around town muttering to himself "I could have been a contender". To bad he and John Brown can't console one and other but then again Kevin did really Rat the Browns out big time. Maybe Kevin can Mc it out with McDonagh and McInerney? That's right I forgot he buried them to. Well at least he's lucky with the lady's. I bet he can find a lawyer who use to be a minister in one of those dating sites.

Anonymous said...

Kevin McGrath makes 6 figures at national grid and don't need the hastle. 2 wins each with 70% of the vote. Yeah they hate him in the Burgh! Don't you have a cheeseburger to eat Harry

Anonymous said...

Such jealousy

Anonymous said...

70 0/0 of the votes 100 0/0 of the cooperation agreements. He never dipped his toe in the election waters after sending everyone up the river. Funny though he carries on about Gordon 911 call while he holds a full house of Felonise and misdemeanors drug conviction. He's Jimmy Carters brother Billy.

Anonymous said...

Felonise? Is that a female felon?

Anonymous said...

Jesus Christ, all you morons perfect?!?! ,I've done many things I rancorous of, again 70% of the vote 2 times many many years after his past. Which he owned up to like men do. So you keep bringing up his past like shallow has been do. Your a loser, go have your man Franco start up his tailspin column again so you can get all your mean spirited comments posted! Because I bet there's a lot you write on this post that won't get posted .

Hey Troy Polio staff I'm looking forward to you next article about your boy Robert Cox and his anti-somatic attack on Rusty Weiss. You know the anti-somatic attack that has now had him removed from Facebook. I wonder if his nephew has those same feeling? I hope that Robert doesn't feel that way about other religions and ethnic persuasions. I'm sure this corse of events has shaken the polio staff to its foundation.
Harry gone 4 years now.

PS. Robert you didn't even know that Rusty wasn't Jewish? Remember polio staff this anti-Semite was one of your chosen people that you singled out in previous post. I'm sure your all very proud. Shalom bitches.

Oh, Kevin. It is killing you that you aren't mentioned in any posts, isn't it? You need to understand, since you've only lived here a few years that the Troy Polloi is like the New York Times to your Penny Saver. It's beneath them to mention some dude that tweets. Get over it. Besides, Cox, there boy? Since when? They have been pushing Madden, not Wiltshire, Gordon or Cox. Problems reading big words?

Anonymous said...

Because Gordon and Tedesco are Harry's guys, looking out for each other first, and the rest of us somewhere down the road

Love this blog and all you people. When presented with the truth you all become English and computer button experts. Now I have to go work on my mantra "know I'm a good boy everything from my past doesn't matter. Know I'm a good boy everything from my past doesn't matter. Know I'm a good boy everything from my past doesn't matter.........."

Hal, This 2nd rate blog was thrown together again to try and combat the attacks and humor posed by Mr. McCashion. And outside of one posting it's failed miserably. On top of the non amusing drivel the characters posting have a combined IQ of 120. Then the attacks on Harry which obviously is meant to divert attention to the failed democratic leadership in both city hall and the council. Take a deep breath of reality and you'll see Troy is at it's lowest level EVER and it's you very democrats that put us there.

I'm anti-somatic. Hate those damn somas. Ruining our city.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, looks like no one reads this thing.

Anonymous said...

Lol! Most of the comments on Franco's blog were unintelligible and 80% of them were written by Crist and his flunkies. Grasp at straws much? You guys are running scared because you're scumbag losers and the voters know it

Anonymous said...

I feel bad for the guy. I guess if you can't get laid, you tweet.

Anonymous said...

What was the combined IQ of you losers who commented anonymous posts on Franco's blog, which you are one! The shoe is on the other foot and you guys hate it. Practice what you preach! Saw nice article posted in Times Union a few years back how ALL pro Tutunjians anonymous comments came from a city hall ip address, and amazingly stopped after being called out by Times Union. Article is called undercover online go to Times Union web sight and search for it! Great read, and a pitiful example of the dirty shit Harry and Porto did on city time. PUTRID, ratchet people!

It doesn't take an English expert to figure out that 8:04 dropped out of school after 4th grade. His post makes no sense. Now anti-somatic...that's funny! If you want people to take your posts seriously, punctuation and proofreading are your friends!

I am 100 0/0 sure this is you Harry! Pretend the % sign is a cheeseburger, you will never forget where it is. Harry gone 4 years now should be ten years

Still confused how this blog had Cox as one of their chosen since they haven't endorsed Cox or shilled for Cox. Then again, what do I know, I'm anti-somatic.

Anonymous said...

it must be very difficult sleeping with the vision of Harry Tutunjian consuming your thoughts. He was a decent mayor much better than Lou. Why do you constantly attack him?

Anonymous said...

Because he's a porcine dickwad with an inferority complex who desperately trolls blogs trying to be relevant. Hi Harry. Gone four years now and never coming back. We know it kills you.

Anonymous said...

A decent mayor ?! We're you even in Troy when he was mayor? Google "Harry Tutunjians lawsuits" then tell us how decent a mayor he was. He was putrid!

Anonymous said...

Because fours years from now, Lou won't be on Twitter attacking the next administration. He has class, Harry does not.

Unknown said...

Perfectly said

Anonymous said...

Obviously by his stint as mayor I don't believe Lou even knows what twitter is.

Ron Burgandy said...

Lou Rosamillia is as classy as they come. He had to clean up the pile of crap that Harry left behind before he could move the city forward. Rodneys' take no prisoners tactics used to attack Lou on EVERYTHING the past four years reflected badly on.......Rodney. Dude, karma's a bitch. Everyone at KVWN says, stay classy Lou.

Phana24JG said...

I would agree that Lou is a classy guy, although I hardly know him. By all accounts, he is an intelligent man, well-liked by those who know him. However, nice and classy does not always translate well to political administration. You fairly place some blame on the Council, but as the chief executive, Lou was unable to form a working group of five Council members to set an effective agenda. Listening to and reading his presentation of a budget with no pension contributions was painful. Again, I defer to your expertise in political infighting, but there is really no defense for that budget.

Don't you have some harassing calls to make?

Miriam Webster said...

You say that as if it is a bad thing? If our elected officials would get off twitter and stop trying to govern in sounds bites we might be able to have a decent civic conversation. Twitter is like cotton candy, airy, lacking substance and producing a sugar rush that impedes focused thinking. Twitter gives people like Kevin McCashion a platform for his balderdash.

Oxford Unabridged said...

Miriam, did you just write balderdash

Miriam Webster said...

Yes Mr Oxford:
balderdash
"senseless talk or writing; nonsense.
"she dismissed talk of plots as “bunkum and balderdash.”"
synonym : Kevin McCashion
