According to the Troy Record, Police Chief John Tedesco now has forty years of service with the Troy Police Department. Ironically, 40 is also the percentage morale had plummeted since Tedesco's chiefship began. Maybe that's generous.

Adam Rupeka has allegedly fled to Alberta Canada. Apparently, the police planted a young girl in Rupeka's apartment who then fled from the apartment, just so they could frame the "police watchdog." Rupeka is posting status reports on his facebook page from the childhood home of Presidential candidate Ted Cruz.
Finally, the City Council's Finance Committee is moving forward with an attempt to recoup some a portion of more than $1,000,000 in overdue parking fines. Some of you think this is a no-brainer. However, it is quite difficult to collect from scoff laws. According to one source close to the Administration: "There is no centralized database that would allow the State to put a hold on a scofflaws license renewal or registration renewal. Municipalities are on their own and unless the scofflaw is stopped in Troy, there is no way to force collection."
We also don't have enough boots for residents.
It looks like if we can collect $300,000, that will be a good day.
Still waiting for some real news. Things are quiet. Maybe it was Bill Dunne's fault all along.

Outsourcing collections to a private firm would bring in a lot more than "amnesty" for scofflaws.
40 is also the percentage crime has increased under Teddy's watch.
Sometimes it feels like 40% of the crime in the city comes out of the TPD. Is Teddy despised because he's trying to rid the TPD of a group of dirty cops? Cigars for everyone.

It's not his fault that scum live in Troy but it is his fault that all these cops are leaving for other agencies. Who would have thought that Waterifrd PD would be a better option than Troy. Half of Watervliet PD is comprised of former Troy officers. Troy's loss is the other PD's gain.

The scum live in this city because of programs like TRIP. But they stay in this city because Tedesco won't bring back special units to roust them.
Here are a few questions for anyone. 1. Do property owners who are behind in their taxes get reported to credit bureaus? 2. Is the 3 year foreclosure law a state, federal or local one? 3. Who sets the penalty interest rate? 4. Could the rental income from section 8 be garnished to collect back taxes? 5. Who sets the redemption dollar amount? 6. Are back water taxes added to the basic property taxes at the close of water season?

What really gets me is that an outside collection agency was retained by Lou's administration to collect taxes, ambulance fees & outstanding parking tickets. Three questions: How much did they collect? How much were they paid? Why do we need to retain a second company to do the same job?

Don't know about tweets but I have seen Barb Nelson in action at planning board and she is very dangerous. She should not be on the board. Unreasonable and has her own agenda. Counter productive.

Nelson is smart but an elitist snob. Her view is always superior to the views of the applicants before her. Her downfall is her quest for power. Barb surrounded herself with like minded elitists who are never wrong, and when proven wrong "the ends justify the means". Just for them of course, certainly not say, the police department.
