SUNDAY NEWS UPDATE

WATER MAIN UPDATE

Water Main break I has been repaired according to sources. Not sure of Water Main break II, the sequel. Waterford and Halfmoon now have water. More breaks will be forthcoming. Remember, breaks under Tutunjian and Rosamilia were almost a weekly occurrence during the winter months. They will continue. Hang on to your wallets.

UNCLE SAM TRANSIT CENTER

According to the The Redorc, CTDA will move forward with the new Transit Center (ie.bus terminal).

We Care About The Parking Garage has not weighed in yet on the project. We hope they support it and don't protest. This is a good project and should move forward. However, the project will be delayed to add docks, piers and a boat launch.

This week, we'll take a look at the reign of Lou I and the city's bonding history.

Jeff Pirro is a very good dishwasher but he's still not good enough to get $15 an hour.He also did a fine job harassing teen age babysitters

Strange how all the folks in this illustration are white? Hey if it gets the drug dealers off the corner in front of the Night Owl News and puts them in climate controlled comfort then it seems like a good thing.

Be Blessed.

It's truly unbelievable that anyone interested in downtown revitalization would think this transit center is a good idea. Have you seen the people hanging out at bus stops? Is this really the image we want Troy to project? People bitch and moan about high taxes and then support expanded bus stops and methadone clinics and wonder why Troy can't attract businesses. Wake up for God's sake.

Sure, everybody cares about the drug dealers, but nobody cares about the working girls.

Will there be beds? I'm sure there will be a counter to sign people up in the Democratic Party.

I love my pizza is offering a free small soda with purchase of a slice of pizza tonallbthose showing their methadone patch

Yes, everyone who takes the bus is black. We all know black=drug user or drug dealer. Grow up. Many people use the bus. Lets get rid of Frear Park because high school kids sometimes drink there.

If this happened under Harry they'd be praising it. We Care About The Parking Garage. That's funny.

This bus shelter will be the end of the oscars. No blacks in the drawings.

Jeff Pirro? Why would someone bring him up? He's yesterday's news and irrelevant, sort of like Kevin mcGrath.

My family takes the bus on a regular basis, and no, they're not drug dealers. Not everyone in this city is either a freeloader or an upper-middle-class-WASP. Some of us share one car, and rely on public transportation. Get over yourselves.

7:34 Amen!

Who cares what color the bus stop people are, if you go past any buss top just look at 90 % of the people standing there and think about what a whole city block of that is going to look like.

11:07 Not sure about the beds, but I hear they're puthing a domestic violence shelter in for Republican wives.

Got one for felons and oxy heads too fella's

If we turned it down you guys would bitch about that.

It is not the people who are actually taking a bus that are the problem. It is the many who just hang out at all these bus stops. The litter in front of Dunkin Doughnuts, Night Owl News & Uncle Sam's bus stop is disgusting. CDTA should be made to keep their stops clean. Why isn't the BID doing a better job of holding the business owners & CDTA responsible for keeping the litter at bay. I believe there are city ordances for loitering & litter....but I guesss that would mean the city would have to do their jobs. Too much to ask I guess.

Why stop there? In fact let's turn Monument Square into a giant Greyhound Bus Station. The one in Albany is so lovely.

I would really like for someone in economic development or planning to explain why this is such a great idea. I would think something in the area by the Raddock Building would make more sense.

How about the county building? Crist, Harry, and the rest of Troy's biggest scumbags are already in residence. It can't get much filthier. CDTA can provide a special short bus for Gordo.

Sounds like Troy's getting a Compton theme going. Let's turn River Street into pawn shops and get that porn district going... I recommend Washington Park. Porn and feral cats, oh yeah. And screw market-rate waterfront rentals, I like the idea of "1 Methadone Square". The addicts can vomit in the river instead of the parking lot next to the Raddock Building. It's a beautiful view. And I vote to scrap Rocking on the River next summer for Working Girl Wednesdays, a full service job fair/ open air marketplace for Troy prostitutes, sponsored by St. Joseph's House. Enjoy Troy!

Ah, Joseph's House stopped being fun when Gildo retired.
