Also all documents detailing his suspension and his involvement in avoiding state and federal asbestos laws. DeleteIMHO, there was a distinct upgrade in the DPW under Mirch. Did he go overboard on some issues? Of course he did, and the voters responded. I also maintain that the improved performance of the DPW continued under Lou, and despite the negative PR, they did reasonably well during the early part of Pat's term.

Mirch used to get them to do things that were less than kosher such as tearing down political signs or agreeing to vote HIS way or register for the WFP party to "save" their jobs. He was a total slime and used these people to his advantage. Throw'em a few slices and pizza and a six pack and they were loyal to him. Who else would have hired most of them?
Corruption was not invented in Troy but it sure has been perfected here.
9.35, perhaps if you stop reading every post through political blinders, you will comprehend more information. I used the past tense since the events that put our DPW in a negative light to many occurred.....wait for it....IN THE PAST. If anything, my post was positive, or at least neutral with respect to Pat. I believe I have stated on more than one occasion that I want Pat to succeed, and most of my criticism of Pat has been more over his style than substance.
